5 members of doctor's family found dead in apartment

Five members of the family of a doctor, who came here from Noida to celebrate Durga Puja, were found dead in an apartment at Kokar locality in the city.

Police said they found the bodies in the 10th floor residence of Dr S Sarkar in the Riviresa apartment complex yesterday.

Sarkar was found lying injured with multiple wounds, while none of the five bodies bore any injury mark, police said. Sarkar has been admitted to a hospital.

The five bodies have been identified as Anjana Sarkar (60), Samseer Sarkar (35), another middle-aged relative and two grand-daughters aged four and five years.
