In an extension of Swachh Bharat campaign, over 500 children of a neighbourhood assembled to clean up their area in the city.
Called 'Raho Swachh Jiyo Mast' "the unique campaign is aimed at impacting the lives of their families as children are the greatest motivators in the family," Children International Regional Director Ramdas Pai told PTI.
As the broom-wielding tiny tots chanted 'Galli Galli Sim Sim' on the lines of a popular tune, the campaign got off officially in an open ground.
The tools were an old vegetable cart customised with a tv and dvd having messages on good sanitation scrolls while care givers taught them how to make soapy threads and digital games on tablets with the message.
Children International Regional Director Ramdas Pai said, "We are delighted to be launching Raho swachh Jiyo Mast which has impacted lives of children in city.
