525th marriage anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev celebrated

A marriage procession started in the morning from Gurdwara Dera Sahib, where Guru Nanak Dev had stayed along with 'baratis' when he got married.

The devotees showered flowers on Guru Granth Sahib, which was placed in a beautifully decorated palanquin and devotees were singing 'shabad', all along the procession.

Meanwhile, elaborate security arrangements were made to prevent any untoward incident and to maintain law and order situation.
