55-yr-old gangman run over by train

A 55-year-old railway gangman was today run over by a train near Chambar river bridge in the district.

The incident took place when the victim, identified as Nekram, was working on the track and could not see the fast approaching train, Circle Officer (city) Sant Kumar Yadav said.

The body was shifted to a hospital for post-mortem and was later handed over to the family members, he said.

A case has been registered in this connection.
