All the six occupants of a car were killed when their vehicle was hit from behind by a truck near Aligaon flyover in Badarpur area of south east Delhi, police said today.
The accident occurred around midnight when six friends from Sarita Vihar were going to an eatery in neihbouring Faridabad for a late night bite, said a senior police officer.
A PCR van that spotted the accident and rushed the injured to a nearby hospital where doctors declared them brought dead. Driver of the truck was arrested by the police, he said.

The ill fated car was being driven by one Raju. Other occupants of the car included his cousin Raj Kumar and their friends Ram Ashish, Madan, Hari Shankar Rathor and another unidentified man, the officer said.
Raj Kumar and Ram Ashish had recently come to Delhi looking for job and had joined the other men for the outing late in the night.
At Aligaon flyover, a speeding truck rammed the car from behind, after which it got struck in the front of the large transporter truck and got dragged for some distance before being hit against a road divider.
After the accident the truck driver Lakshman Prasad ran away leaving behind his vehicle, but was later arrested. During interrogation, he admitted to being in a hurry and to falling asleep while driving to Faridabad to load his vehicle, the officer said.

The victims were returning to their respective places
after taking part in the ongoing Bhagoria festival organised prior to Holi in the tribal region of Manawar tehsil here, police said.
Five of the deceased were identified as Nandini Balram (44), Sourabh (17), Ambika (13), Akshay (10) and Anil (35), they said.
Police suspect the driver and the conductor of the bus were also killed in the mishap.
Indore Division Commissioner said an ex-gratia of Rs 15,000 will be given to the kin of each deceased, while Rs 5,000 will be given to each injured person.
