The Jammu and Kashmir government today said 61 traffic signal lights have been installed in different locations in the state.
In a written reply in the Legislative Council, Urban Development and Local Bodies minister Nawang Rigzin Jora said 30 traffic lights have been installed in Jammu city.
In Srinagar city, 31 traffic signal lights have been installed at different locations, he said adding these are functioning properly.
The Srinagar Municipal Corporation has installed about 38,000 street lights in Srinagar till date, the minister said.
