Almost one-third of the total sanctioned posts are lying vacant at the fair trade watchdog the Competition Commission, including for Joint Directors, Deputy Directors and Deputy Director General, Parliament was informed today.
As against total 197 sanctioned posts, 132 posts have been filled up, Minister of Corporate Affairs Arun Jaitley said in written reply to a Rajya Sabha question.
This also includes eight officer posts belongs to SC/ST category (7 SC and 1 ST).
While one post of advisor is also vacant, most of the vacancies are for the posts of Joint directors (20), Deputy Directors (16), Deputy Director General (16), Directors (4) and Joint Director General (4).
Besides, positions like Assistant Directors, Office Managers, Senior Principal Private Secretary and Additional Director General had one vacancy each.
