7,11,111 voters in Mizoram in draft voters list

There were 7,11,111 voters in the draft voters lists published in all the eight districts in Mizoram in which women voters outnumbered their male counterparts by 14,113.

State joint chief electoral officer F J Liantluanga told PTI that the draft electoral rolls were prepared for the special summary revision of voters lists to include people attaining 18 years of age on January 1, 2016.

There were 3,62,612 female and 3,48,499 male voters in the draft electoral rolls , Liantluanga said.

He said that the final voters lists would be published on January 15 next year.
