73-year-old murder convict dies in hospital

A 73-year-old convict, undergoing life imprisonment in Kota Central Jail for murder, died at a hospital here during treatment, a senior official said today.

Karim, who had been keeping ill for some time and was admitted to the hospital yesterday afternoon, died late last night, Deputy Jailor of the jail Surendra Singh said.

Karim, a resident of Baran district, was sentenced to life imprisonment in December 2011.
