8 killed, equal number injured in jeep-lorry collision

Eight persons, including four women and two children, were killed and as many injured when a jeep collided with a lorry at Doginala in this district today.

The victims had come to the district to visit the Dattatreya temple at Gangapur, District Superintendent of Police N Shashikumar said.

The victims hailed from Panchmahal village in Osmanabad district of Maharashtra, Shashikumar said, adding, the injured have been hospitalised here.
