8 killed, three injured in road mishap

Eight persons were killed and three others injured today when a tempo in which they were travelling collided with a truck near Chatarpura village here, police said today.

Two persons were killed on the spot and six succumbed to their injuries at a hospital in Beawar town in nearby Ajmer district. The deceased included four men and as many women, Asind (Bhilwara) Circle Officer Saubhagya Singh said.

He said the victims were on their way to Ramdevra temple in Jaisalmer district when the mishap took place.

"Efforts are on to ascertain their identity," he added.
