8 quintals illegal crackers sized; 12 held

Twelve persons were arrested today with eight quintals illegal crackers in Sitapur district.

Acting on a tip-off, a police team stopped a truck in Mehmodabad area and seized the crackers, police said, adding that those arrested did not have the license to sell it.

The crackers as well as the truck have been seized.
