9 injured in clash over keeping buffaloes

At least nine persons were injured in a clash between two groups following a dispute over keeping buffaloes at a village in Ganjam district today, police said.

Stones, sharp weapons and bombs were used in the clash that took place at Tatadapalli village under Golanthara police station limits.

The groups had previous enmity and the immediate provocation of today's clash was a dispute over keeping buffaloes at a particular place of the village, police said.

Earlier, police had warned both the groups not to involve in clashes.

The condition of the four of the injured was stated to be serious and they were hospitalised, police said adding that 10 persons were arrested for their alleged involvement in the clash.
