9 killed, 5 injured in two road mishaps in Andhra

Five persons, including three women, died and five others suffered injuries when their four-wheeler hit a road-divider near Golagamudi cross roads and crashed into a stationary vehicle at around 0330 hrs in Nellore district, police said.

The victims, who belonged to Guntur district, were on their way to Tirupati on a pilgrimage.

In another incident, four persons, including two women, were killed when their car rammed into a lorry near Antampalli in Nizamabad district in the wee hours, a police officer said.

Further investigations were on in both the cases.
