9 killed in two mishaps in Gulbarga in north Karnataka

Nine persons, including three women and a child, were killed and 20 others injured in two separate accidents in the district today, police said.

Six persons were killed, four on the spot, and four others injured when two cars collided head-on at Mudhol village, Gulbarga district Superintendent of Police Amith Singh said.

Two injured persons have been hospitalised here and two others in Sedam, he said, adding all the victims were from Andhra Pradesh.

In the second mishap, three persons were killed and 16 injured when a bus collided with a lorry at Sedam in the district, police said.

Two victims were in the bus and the third was near the bus stand, they said. The injured have been admitted to hospitals at Gulbarga and Yadgir.
