Nine policemen have been awarded out-of-turn promotion for gallantry in Rajasthan.
DGP Ajit Singh issued the order yesterday for the promotion of the nine policemen to their next rank on the recommendation of the promotion committee.
Assistant Sub-Inspector Sandeep Ahlawat posted in ATS was promoted as Sub Inspector, Head constable of Jodhpur Rural Police, Amanaram was promoted to the ASI rank, ADG Crime P K Singh said.
Constables Sanjay Kumar Sharma, Surendra Singh, Prem Chand, Jhabarmal, Shrawan Kumar, Purshottam and Bhuralal were promoted to the rank of Head Constable, the ADG said.
