999 from Haryana rescued

As many as 999 people, hailing from Haryana, who were stranded in rain-ravaged Uttarakhand, have been rescued so far, an official spokesman said here today.

According to the Haryana Police Control Room, a total of 74 people from the state were evacuated today, he said.

The number of missing persons from Haryana in the hill state stands at 395, the spokesman said.
