Aiming to further expand the reach of Aadhaar scheme, Haryana government has decided to roll out a month-long special campaign in all districts from April 10.

"Under this campaign, Aadhaar mobile vans equipped with all logistics will be sent free of cost to enroll old-aged, sick and bed-ridden residents who are unable to reach Aadhaar centres," Additional Chief Secretary, Electronics and Information Technology Keshni Anand Arora said today.

Aadhaar helpline numbers have been set up in all districts headquarters where residents can register request for enrolment through mobile vans, she added.

This special campaign will address the concerns of old-age, sick people and persons with disabilities and will ensure enrolment at their doorsteps, thereby, achieving 100 per cent coverage target in all districts, the official added.

"For availing mobile van facility, the residents need to call on the helpline number of their district which is also available at district website," she said.

The official also said till date over 2,61,09,899 residents in the state have enrolled under Aadhaar which is 97.4 per cent of total population as per 2015.
