AAP today accused the BJP-ruled MCDs of stalling developmental projects initiated by the party councillors and legislators across the national capital.
Addressing a press conference, Poonam Bharadwaj, AAP councillor for ward no 142 in the South MCD, alleged that despite tenders being awarded for developmental projects worth Rs 70 lakhs, the contractors have not started execution.
Bharadwaj has also written to the South Delhi Municipal Corporation Commissioner in this regard.

"We smell a conspiracy in this. Tenders have been awarded, yet no work has commenced. This is being done to stall the good work by the MCD, which is controlled by the BJP," AAP's Delhi unit convenor Dilip Pandey said.
He said, the "stalling" of works has been going on across the city where AAP legislators and councillors have been elected.
AAP's Tilak Nagar MLA Jarnail Singh too alleged that in many cases the MCD does not give No Objection Certificate (NOC) to carry out developmental work.
"For instance, if the Delhi Jal Board has to lay pipelines or sewer lines, then we have to take NOC from the MCD because the road has to be dug and repaired after completion of work and that department comes under the civic body.
"There are cases when we pay money so that MCD repairs the road after we are done with our work. The MCD takes cheque from us but do not repair the road," Singh said.
The Tilak Nagar MLA claimed 28 such projects which have been denied NOC.
The AAP has been intensifying attacks on the BJP-led MCDs as it gears up for civic polls likely to be held in April.
