An AAP leader from Haryana today demanded expulsion of Yogendra Yadav, accusing him of conspiring against Arvind Kejriwal and instigating people like Shazia Ilmi and Vinod Kumar Binny against the party.

Naveen Jaihind also accused Yadav of garnering support of a "good person" like Prashant Bhushan and giving party tickets to his men and discrediting party volunteers.

He said by holding Kejriwal responsible for the poll debacle, he harboured ambitions to become party's National Convenor.

Jaihind also alleged that Yadav worked to ensure party's defeat in the Assembly polls so that he could become the party chief.

"It was Yadav who instigated Binny and Ilmi against the party. They both have sympathy for Yadav," Jaihind claimed in a letter to members of the National Executive.

Binny was sacked for anti-party activities while Ilmi quit the party slamming its leadership.

"In Lok Sabha polls, Yadav gave tickets to his own people. The party lost the polls badly in Haryana.

"He (Yadav) did the same thing in Punjab. He grew close to people who were unhappy with Arvind Kejriwal, which hurt the party's prospects in the state. Today, the party would have had eight and not four MPs from Punjab," Jaihind claimed in his letter.

Incidentally Yadav, who was party's Haryana in-charge and Jaihind, who is a key leader in the state have been at loggerheads. Yadav had also demanded action against Jaihind after party's defeat.

On the ticket given to Yudhvir Khyalia, an ex-IAS officer from Hissar, Jaihind said, "It was only after his party ticket was confirmed he quit the services. But Yadav did not listen to party volunteers."

"Even after this, he tried to garner support in his favour of a good person like Prashant Bhushan so that he could stand behind him. He shares excellent relations with the founders of AVAM (a breakaway AAP group) and gave full support to the group in breaking the party," he claimed.
