Anti-Corruption Bureau sleuths today recovered unaccounted for money to the tune of Rs 2.24 lakh from the Tizara Station House Officer after intercepting his car at Telco circle in Tizara.
SHO Madan Lal Jaif was headed in his car from Tizara to Alwar when the ACB sleuths stopped his vehicle for a surprise check, said ACB-IG, Smita Srivastava.
In another raid, ACB arrested Assistant Engineer of Medical and Health department, Kanaram Choudhary, for accepting a bribe of Rs 14,000 from a client in exchange for expediting bills worth Rs 3.65 lakh of a construction contractor.
Cases under various sections of the Anti-Corruption Act were lodged against the two officials, IG-ACB said.
