ACC net profit down 40% in Q1

Cement manufacturer ACC today reported a 40.84 per cent decline in its consolidated net profit at Rs 236.54 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2015.

The company, which follows January-December period as its accounting year, had posted Rs 399.85 crore net profit during the same quarter a year ago.

Total income from operations has increased marginally by 1.75 per cent to Rs 3,080.13 crore, ACC said in a filing on the BSE.
