West Bengal consumers affairs minister Sadhan Pande today said that his ministry was contemplating action against errant real estate builders who flout the norms and the verdict of the consumer affairs court.

"A section of errant real estate builders and promoters are openly flouting norms of consumer affairs. Even after the consumer affairs gives a verdict, they move other courts challenging the verdicts," Pande said.

The minister said that they were planning to move the Supreme Court to stop the practice.

Pande was addressing a Consumer Affairs Fair here.

Pande later said there is a section of real estate builders who have a tendency to fleece the customers.

"There is a tendency among real estate builders where either the amount promised is not being paid or the flats are not delivered in time. We want to take action against such activities," Pande said.
