The AGP leaders registered their protest with the governor on spiralling price rise and urged him to take necessary steps to initiate dialogue with anti-big dam activists .
The opposition party also urged the governor to take steps to initiate a high-level inquiry into the recent incident of more than 350 girls falling ill after being administered Iron folic tablets in Tezpur.
Besides Mahanta, the delegation comprised Working President Atul Bora and senior leaders Dr Kamala Kanta Kalita, Keshav Mahanta, Joseph Toppo, Ramendra Narayan Kalita, Durgadas Boro and Pradip Hazarika.
