AI Singapore flight returns to base due to snag

A Singapore-bound Air India plane, with 264 passengers and crew onboard, returned to the airport here due to some technical snag, after being airborne for about an hour today.
The flight, originally scheduled for departure at 1.50 pm, took off from here only at 5.15 pm, with the delay too attributed to technical fault, airport sources said.
However, the flight landed back at the airport around 6.15 pm due to 'technical snag', they said.
The passengers were accommodated in a nearby hotel and likely to be sent by another flight around midnight, the sources said.
