Air Marshal Jagjeet Singh appointed as honorary ADC to Prez

Air Marshal Jagjeet Singh, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief at Headquarters Maintenance Command of (IAF), has been appointed as Honorary ADC to President

After completing his Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering (Hons) from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala in 1976, he joined the in 1977 and was commissioned in the Aeronautical Engineering Branch.

He is also a post graduate in Electrical Engineering from University, Chandigarh, and is a PG Diploma holder in Management from IGNOU.

Singh has also undergone the Technical Staff Course at IAT, Pune, a defence release stated here today.

The officer has rich experience in maintenance management of aircraft and systems and has held various field and staff appointments.

He has commanded a Technical Type Training School for fighter aircraft and a Base Repair Depot.

Singh has also held the appointments of Chief Engineering Officer at Air Force Academy, Command Engineering Officer at HQ SWAC and Senior Maintenance Staff Officer at HQ CAC.

The officer has been Director General (Aircraft), Director General (Systems) and Air Officer-in-Charge Maintenance at Air HQ before assuming the present appointment.

He was decorated with 'Vishisht Seva Medal' and has been commended by the Chief of the Air Staff earlier on two occasions, as per the release.
