AISA takes out candlelight march over Kathua, Unnao rape cases

The University unit of the (AISA) today took out a candlelight march from Vishwavidyalaya Metro Station, demanding justice for and rape victims.

An eight-year-old girl was raped and murdered in in In in Lucknow, A 17-year-old girl alleged that she was raped by a BJP MLA.

"It's really shameful that a rape of a minor happens and the whole BJP defends the accused and communalise the whole incident by organising rallies under the banner of Hindu Ekta Manch," AISA's said.

The march ended at Vijay Nagar.

The protesters demanded immediate arrest of all accused and sacking of BJP leaders who had supported the accused from the party.

"We also demand the case to be shifted to or Delhi," Kaur said.
