In the wake of increasing cold conditions in Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today directed authorities to make arrangements for bonfire, shelters and distribution of blankets at public places.
"The Chief Minister has directed to make arrangements for bonfire, shelters and distribution of blankets," an official spokesperson said.
On the directives of the Chief Minister funds have been released to all districts for the purpose, he said, adding Yadav has said that it should be ensured that no person dies due to lack of food, cloth, shelter or medical services.
"The CM has also ordered to constitute a team of officers to inspect bonfire and shelters," the spokesperson added.
