Aluminium prices eased further by 0.23 per cent to Rs 129.40 per kg in futures trading today as speculators engaged in reducing exposure, driven by easing demand in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in December shed 30 paise, or 0.23 per cent to Rs 129.40 per kg in business turnover of 1915 lots.

Similarly, the metal for delivery in January was trading lower by a similar margin to Rs 130.15 per kg in 120 lots.

Analysts said cutting down of positions by participants on the back of subdued demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly kept aluminium prices down at futures trade.
