Ambedkar's statue damaged in UP village

A statue of Dr BR Ambedkar was allegedly damaged by some anti-social elements here, an official said today.

The incident occurred yesterday evening at Mishrani village of Bhadohi district, CO Gyanpur, Ram Karan said.

"After an agreement among the villagers, a four-feet-high statue of BR Ambedkar has been installed today," the CO said.

A case under relevant sections of the IPC was registered against the accused, he said.
