AMC by-poll: SS, NCP win one seat each

Nationalist Congress Party grabbed the Buddi lane ward seat from AIMIM whereas Shiv sena retained the Begumpura seat in the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation's by-election.

The results were declared today after the voting on Sunday.

Byelections became necessary as the caste certificates of sitting members were declared invalid.

In ward no 12, Begumpura, Sachin Khaire of Shiv Sena won by defeating his nearest rival Anil Bhingare, an independent, by 723 votes.

In Buddi Lane, Parveen Begumm Qaiser Khan of NCP defeated AIMIM's Shahnaz Begum Khaja Miya.
