Senior IAS officer Ameising Luikham has taken charge as secretary of the Union Minority Affairs Ministry, the government said in a statement today.
Luikham has taken charge on superannuation of Rakesh Garg of 1980 batch.
A 1981-batch officer, Luikham was earlier secretary of the Department of Public Enterprises in the Ministry of Heavy Industries and had joined the Minority Affairs Ministry as Officer on Special Duty last month.
