An accused in the case of the death of a constable here during a clash last year between alleged supporters of Anant Vikram Sinh, son of Congress MP Sanjay Sinh, and police was arrested here today.
Amethi SHO Mohd Hamid said that "the accused, Vivek Singh of Pindoriya, one of the seven named in the case of the constable's death at nearby Ram Nagar, was arrested today from near Amethi railway station.
He has been sent to jail after medical examination, Hamid added.

The Amethi SHO had lodged an FIR naming seven persons (including Anant Vikram) along with 250 other unnamed persons following the constable's death.
Above one dozen unnamed persons have been arrested in the case by a crime branch team which is looking into the matter, police said.
It may be recalled that constable Vijay Kumar Mishra, posted at Amethi police station, was shot dead by unidentified persons on September 14, 2014, when a clash took place on the premises of Amethi royal palace between police and a group of locals.
Police said that the clash was connected to an ongoing property dispute between Sanjay Sinh and his son Anant Vikram.
