Bollywood actress Amrita Rao is all set to make her foray into television with finite drama series "Meri Awaaz Hi Pehchaan Hai".
Amrita's sister Preetika is already a television star, courtesy her romantic drama "Beintehaan".
The 34-year-old "Ishq Vishq" star will be seen alongside veteran actress Depti Naval. The series is being produced by Nivedita Basu.
"Yes, Amrita has come on board for 'Meri Awaaz Hi Pehchaan Hai' that will be aired on &TV. The show will be a finite series based on the music industry and will see Amrita playing a pivotal role of Kalyani," Basu said in a statement.
"Her older character will be essayed by the veteran actress Deepti Naval. The show will be shot across real locations only and (we) have started shooting the initial episodes at Wai."
The on-air date of the show is yet to be announced.
