Anti-chain snatching teams to be formed in Rajamahendravaram

Anti-chain snatching teams will be formed in every police station of Rajamahendravaram to arrest rising number of such incidents, district Superintendent of Police (Urban) B Rajakumari said.

The official in a meeting with district police personnel, held yesterday, discussed various steps to be taken to curb crime in the district.

Anti-chain snatching teams will be formed in every police station to nab chain snatchers and person who will provide tip-off about chain snatchers will be rewarded with Rs 5,000 cash. Those who will catch a chain snatcher and bring him to a police station, will be given Rs 10,000 reward, Rajakumari said.
 

Among other steps, a vigil will be kept on rowdy-sheeters, she said.

Other issues that were discussed included specialised plan to curtail property offences,dacoity, house breaking, theft.

A special eye will be kept offences like gambling, cock-fighting, single lottery, she said.
