Appearance of leopard creates panic

The appearance of a leopard after a gap of nearly three months created panic among the people in Mudis in Valparai in the district.

Quoting the estate workers, forest department sources said the leopard entered the market area last night and killed a pig and kept the left over near a tree in an estate.

Based on the information, senior forest officials visited the area and assured the villagers to take steps to trap it, the sources said.
