Arabic version of Indian Constitution gifted to Egypt PM

India has gifted an Arabic version of the Indian Constitution to Egyptian Prime Minister Sherif Ismail at the 47th edition of Cairo International Book Fair here.

India along with 25 countries are participating in the two-week long book fair that started yesterday.

The National Book Trust (NBT), India, is being represented by the Embassy of India, Cairo at the book fair.

The book fair was inaugurated by Prime Minister Ismail.

Prime Minister Ismail also visited the Indian booth where he was presented with a copy of the Arabic version of the Indian Constitution by Rakesh Kawra, Acting Director of the Maulana Azad Centre for Indian Culture.
 

The Indian section has range of books on topics like science, photography, incredible India, governance, fictions and health.

The Constitution of India was adopted by the Constituent Assembly on November 26 1949 and came into effect on January 26 1950.
