Several arms and ammunition were recovered from Matikeda forest in Odisha's Kandhamal district during a combing operation by security forces, police said today.
The seizure was made during a joint combing operation by the personnel of Central Reserve Police Force, District Voluntary Force and Special Police Officers on Friday night, they said.
It was immediately not clear whether the seized arms belonged to Maoists and further investigation was on, they added.
Among the seized items were two single barrel muzzle loading guns and a steel container with 2 kg explosives, police said.
