During the visit, the Army Chief will also visit the Indian Military Training Team there and review the work being done by the Indian formation there, Army officials said.
Gen Singh will also call on King Jigme Khesar Namgyal Wangchuck, Prime Minister Jigme Thinley and top Royal Bhutan Army officials, they said.
He will also visit important training establishments and other places of interest.
This will be Gen Singh's second visit abroad after Nepal. As part of efforts to strengthen military relations with India's neighbours, he has plans of visiting these countries first.
India and Bhutan share strong military ties. In 2005, the Bhutanese King had attended a course at the prestigious National Defence College here.
A large number of its officers and personnel are trained at Indian military establishments here.
