Army porter steps on landmine, injured

An Army porter was injured today when he accidentally stepped up on a landmine near the Line of Control in Keran Sector of Jammu and Kashmir, defence sources said.

A civilian, working as a porter with the army, stepped on a landmine in Keran sector and suffered severe leg injuries, they said.

The porter was shifted to 92 Base hospital here where his injured leg was amputated, they said, adding that his condition is stated to be stable now.
