Senior bureaucrat Ashish Kumar Singh, considered close to former Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan, has been appointed as the Managing Director of SICOM, a premier financial institution in the state.
Singh, a 1988 batch IAS officer, was earlier posted as the Principal Secretary to Prithviraj Chavan.
Singh replaces Baldev Singh, a 1989 batch IAS officer.
