Assam CM requests Kejriwal to name road after Sankardeva

Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi today met his Delhi counterpart Arvind Kejriwal and requested him to name one of the roads in the national capital after 15th century religious leader of the state Srimanta Sankardeva.
In the meeting at Delhi Secretariat, Gogoi, who led Congress to three consecutive victories in Assembly polls in Assam since 2001, congratulated Kejriwal on AAP's landslide electoral triumph in Delhi.
Kejriwal assured Gogoi of considering his request for naming of a road after Sankardeva, a colossal figure in the cultural and religious history of the state.

"It is important that great people be respected. We will certainly do it," Kejriwal said.
The two chief ministers also discussed several issues of social concern.
