The nine-member committee of Delhi Assembly today sought response from Registrar of Cooperative Societies as to why elections for Delhi Soccer Association (DSA) could not be held in the one-and-a-half-year following complaints by former footballer D K Bose.

The Committee, formed in June by the Delhi Assembly to suggest ways to promote sports and also probe alleged irregularities in the city's sports bodies, will also write to All India Football Federation seeking the status of complaints filed by Bose.

The proceeding of the committee, headed by MLA Sourabh Bhardwaj, was open to media at Delhi Assembly today.

"Elections are not being held since May 2015. RCS had also written to DSA in this regard, but polls are yet to be held," Bose said while deposing before the Committee.

Bhardwaj said the Committee has sought response from RCS as to why elections are not being held.

Ex-cricketer Kirti Azad and other former cricketers had also recently deposed before the committee in connection with alleged irregularities in Delhi District Cricket Association (DDCA).
