ATM machine with Rs 14 lakh cash stolen

An ATM machine of the Punjab National Bank containing Rs 14 lakh was stolen in the wee hours today from Shekhpur town of the district, police said.

There was no guard outside the cabin, situated near a bus stand, when the incident took place. The machine was not fixed to the floor and was taken away in a four-wheeler, they said.

"The machine had Rs 14,01800 in cash," the police said, adding that efforts are on to identify the accused.
