Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop today held talks with Defence MInister Manohar Parrikar during which the issue of defence cooperation was discussed.
She thanked Parrikar for evecuation of Australian nationals from strife-torn Yemen.
Indian forces have evacuated over 5600 persons from Yemen, including an approximate 4640 Indian nationals and 960 foreign nationals from 41 countries.
"The two Ministers met and dicussed issues of mutual interest especially in defence sector," defence sources said.
