Author Dalim Das to get Munin Barkotoki Literary Award

Short-story writer Dalim Das has been selected for the 23rd edition of Munin Barkotoki Literary Award 2017 for his collection 'Hari Jadu Madhu'.

The name was announced today by Meenaxi Barkotoki, the managing trustee of Munin Barkotoki Memorial Trust here.

The annual award, instituted to encourage young and promising writers in Assamese, carries a cash prize of Rs 50,000 along with a citation and a plaque, a release issued by the Trust said.

The Trust was formed in the memory of renowned writer, critic and journalist Munin Barkotoki.
