Avendus Finance today said it has appointed Sandeep Thapliyal as its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer effective November 4.
Avendus Finance provides customised financing solutions to its corporate clients through structured debt, mezzanine, high-yield products and assists in capital structuring as well as arranging optimal financing solutions.
Avendus Finance is a subsidiary of Avendus Capital.
"With Sandeep leading this business, we hope to build strong synergies with our existing investment banking and wealth management businesses," Ranu Vohra, Managing Director and CEO at Avendus Capital said.
Thapliyal joined Avendus from RBL where he was the head of commercial banking and as a part of the core team was instrumental in growing the bank over the last 3.5 years.
Prior to joining Avendus, he has worked with RBL Bank, Religare Capital Market Ltd, Citibank, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation and Industrial Finance Corporation of India (IFCI).
"My vision is to build a best in class structured lending and credit solutions platform at Avendus by providing customised and high quality solutions to emerging corporate clients," Thapliyal said.
Thapliyal is a Business Management graduate from Delhi University and an MBA from Management Development Institute, Gurgaon.
