An eight-member team representing the Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA) today visited the Sri City Special Economic Zone at Tada near here to understand its conceptual design and study the existing infrastructure.

BEZA, the apex body overseeing the establishment of special economic zones (SEZs) in the neighbouring country, undertook the visit to understand the conceptual design and study the existing infrastructure at the Sri City SEZ.

BEZA Executive Board Member Shawkat Ali said the entire team was highly impressed with the infrastructure and the visit will help set up SEZs in their country.

Sri City SEZ Managing Director Ravindra Sannareddy said, "We feel honoured as our neighbouring country selected Sri City as a reference model and deputed a team of senior officials for studying the design and facilities established here".
