Putting an end to speculations on its release date, the first part of the much-hyped Indian epic film 'Baahubali', featuring Prabhas and Rana Dagubbati, is set to hit the screens on May 15.

"Today the whole 'Baahubali' team is very happy because we have completed the entire talkie (part of the movie) at last. And I am also happy to announce that we are gearing up to release 'Baahubali part one' on May 15," its director S S Rajamouli said in a video clipping posted on his twitter account.

Shobu Yarlagadda from Arka Mediaworks, producers of the film, said, "There has been a lot of speculation in social media regarding our film's release date, with several dates being discussed as a possibility. We felt that a video tweet from the director would address the ambiguity, break the clutter and have a lot more impact than a text tweet or a press note."

'Baahubali' is the two-part film being simultaneously made in Telugu and Tamil languages. The film will be dubbed into Malayalam, Hindi and in several foreign languages.
