Baby chokes to death after swallowing bottle cap

A nine-month-old baby girl died today after swallowing a bottle cap even as doctors were trying to remove it, police said.

The baby swallowed the cap after finding it on the floor of her house.

The infant was rushed to the government Rajaji Hospital here after she started choking.

Even as doctors were trying to remove the cap, she died, police said.

A case has been registered, they added.
